The factory plastic charge air cooler manifold on the Gen 1 B58 engine is prone to heat soak and structural failure at the gasket joins when boost pressures are increased. The CSF 8300B replaces the OEM unit with a 100% TIG-welded billet aluminum manifold designed to withstand high-boost motorsports applications. The included KIYLEX Thermal Rejection Competition Spacer is proven to lower intake manifold temperatures by up to 15% by insulating the manifold from conductive heat transfer from the cylinder head.
