The factory 27mm single-row heat exchanger in the B58 and B48 powered BMWs often struggles to manage thermal loads once you add tuning software or an upgraded turbo. The CSF 8131B replaces the thin OEM unit with a massive 68mm 2-row core, the largest of its kind, to keep charge air temperatures stable and prevent the engine from entering limp mode during aggressive driving. CSF utilizes a triple-pass flow design, forcing coolant through the core three times to ensure the lowest possible outlet water temperature before it returns to the manifold charge cooler.
