The advantage of stainless steel clutch lines is in the reduction of volumetric expansion from heat. Over time and under continuous use, the stock rubber lines can swell and expand, resulting in a mushy pedal or brake fade. The rubber cover is also susceptible to deterioration and failure. Stainless steel lines help prevent this expansion and keep your pedal firm.
XLR8 Performance now offers our very own XLR8 Stainless Steel Clutch Lines. Each stainless steel clutch line is made up of teflon hose that has an extruded teflon core with an outer stainless steel braided wire covering. The ends are then permanently crimped on each end. Each line is then finished with a black PVC cover, which gives added protection from flying debris or further abrasion protection from the line rubbing on engine or transmission components. All lines are DOT certified and manufactured for us by an industry expert who has 25 years of experience.
