The development keys for this N55 intake were efficiency and maximizing the potential of the stock intake design. Our sealed system delivers as much cold outside air as possible to the engine via an optimized carbon fiber tube that provides a straighter, freer-flowing design with less resistance.
The increased airflow feeds into a larger volume airbox complete with an enlarged cylindrical filter, resulting in a sporty tone that makes the intake sound as good as it performs. This optimized design yields impressive power gains even without any additional modifications: up to +8 HP and +6 LB-FT of torque on the M2, and up to +10 HP and +15 LB-FT of torque on all other platforms. The system is 50 State Emissions Legal for certain applications (CARB EO D-176-56 for 2012-15 F30 335i only).
