do88 proudly presents our high-flowing turbo inlet system for Porsche 911 (991.2) Carrera!

  • Ready for most future upgrades, such as Hyrbid turbo.
  • Much larger overall inner diameter for improved airflow, 48% higher (66% with hybrid turbos)—see diagram under product pictures.
  • The silicone hoses have a 2.5" (63 mm) inner diameter at the smallest point.
  • The aluminum pipes are 3" (76 mm) with smooth mandrel bends.
  • Smooth flow transitions throughout the system.
  • Very smooth internal surface for best possible airflow.
  • The hoses are reinforced with stainless steel wire to eliminate the risk of implosion at high airflow / high suction.

The kit comes in two versions, depending on turbo application:

  1. OE turbo: Delivered with CNC-machined hose adapters that fit the OE turbos.
  2. Hybrid turbo: Delivered with CNC-machined hose adapters that fit most hybrid turbos on the market (the adapters have an inner diameter of Ø48 mm).

Considerations

The efficiency of a turbocharged engine is directly influenced by inlet air temperature (IAT) and restrictions in the inlet system. A crucial aspect—often overlooked—is having sufficient airflow to the compressor to reduce the risk of surge. Less restriction (less vacuum) and colder air enable the turbo to move a larger air mass, which means more air to the engine—resulting in noticeable power gains. There are real power gains to be earned with a well-designed induction system.

Through years in this business, and countless hours of evaluation and development, we have repeatedly seen the clear connection between IAT, sufficient airflow to the compressor, and the impact this has on engine output.

do88 turbo inlet system

We started the development by 3D-scanning the entire designated area in the car. This allowed us to work efficiently in our CAD environment using SolidWorks. The entire system is optimized for airflow—radii, angles, and transitions are reworked many times to achieve the best possible result.

The finished product is verified using both CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and our SuperFlow SF1020 flowbench. Every effort is made to provide real and trustworthy data for you as a customer.
