The MMR crank hub kit includes four aerospace-grade, precision-machined dowels that mechanically lock the hub to the crankshaft, ensuring a rock-solid connection. A brand new OE crank bolt is also included. Installation of these dowels is a professional-level task, which is why the MMR kit comes with a comprehensive installation jig. The jig features a bolt-on drilling guide, location bolt, and a high-speed HSS drill bit, making the process safer and more accurate for experts.
This advanced single-piece design, coupled with the four-pin dowel system, guarantees that the crank hub friction plates will never slip, providing long-term reliability. With the OE crank bolt correctly tightened, this crank hub offers an essential upgrade over the factory version.
For complete peace of mind, the optional MMR Capture Plate (MMR20-1002) eliminates the risk of the crank bolt loosening due to engine vibrations or harmonics. The billet aluminum Capture Plate bolts securely over the crank bolt head, making it impossible for the bolt to back out.
