The MMR Oil Filter is a lifetime reusable filter. But to reuse and avoid any future loss of filtration or oil flow, it is essential that it is thoroughly cleaned at each oil change as follows:

1. Remove MMR Oil Filter from filter housing
2. Remove 3x O-rings from MMR Oil Filter prior to Step 3, as fuel will degrade and cause damage to these rubber/Viton components.
3. Soak the filter in one of the following fluids for 5-10 minutes – Gasoline, carb cleaner, or soap and water
4. Agitate/stir every few minutes until the outer surface is free of any engine debris
5. Dry the filter using compressed air, blow air through the filter, (do not press the compressed air gun against the filter, keep at least a 10mm gap from nozzle to filter) starting from the inside out, then at an angle on the outside of the screen to further remove any remaining particles or cleaning solution.
6. Once dry, reinstall o-rings (MMR advises replacement of these o-rings every oil service) and refit into oil filter housing and engine.
