The factory transmission control units (TCU) include software limiters that restrict engine power when torque limits are exceeded from tuning. For models with locked TCUs, our calibration team has custom-coded the engine control unit (ECU) programming to properly manage torque signals to and from the transmission. This advanced strategy safely enables full horsepower and torque, even without a TCU tune.
