The Eventuri Difference
The E39 M5 Eventuri system uses our Patent Pending Carbon fibre Housings with our bespoke Gen-2 filter which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the inlet tubes. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which invokes the Venturi affect. You can read more about the housing design and how it works HERE
The standard airbox draws in air from behind the front bumper so the flow path is long and this introduces drag in the system. Furthermore the cuboid nature of the airboxes give rise to turbulence where the transition to the circular MAF tubes take place. Our system replaces the airboxes with Venturi housings which transition much more efficiently to the circular MAF tubes maintaining laminar flow. The filters draw air from a shielded part of the engine bay which is saturated with cold air from the integrated foglamp scoops. By keeping inlet temperatures low and improving the flow path efficiency, the engine is able to produce more power. The dyno graph below shows the comparison between the stock airbox and the Eventuri intake system on a standard car with standard map and exhaust. Dyno runs were done back to back on the same day and with the hood closed.
