This system dramatically improves the stock exhaust note, delivering a sound that is not only louder but fuller and deeper, complete with the signature MINI exhaust pops.
To achieve this, the tubing is first enlarged to 70mm (vs. stock 65mm) for freer flow, resulting in a verifiable power increase of +5 HP and +4 LB-FT of torque at 6000 RPM. The Dinan design incorporates an electronically controlled exhaust valve with a user-controlled key fob, allowing the driver to dictate when to be civilized (valve closed for subdued sound) or when to open the valve for full, straight-pipe glory. Even with the valve open, drone abatement technologies ensure the interior remains intimate by eliminating excessive low-RPM drone.
The exhaust is skillfully crafted entirely out of T304 stainless steel and TIG welded, finished with enormous, dual 4" (102mm) polished stainless tips that masterfully fill and accentuate the factory cut-outs.
