This system reduces the intake restriction presented by the stock configuration by replacing the stock airbox lid with a custom injection-molded composite lid that increases internal volume and accommodates a high-flow filter element for optimum airflow. A secondary intake duct is integrated into the design to scoop up additional cool, dense air via the factory brake cooling duct, further improving performance as road speed increases. When paired with Dinan engine software, this system can deliver up to +11HP and +9lb-ft of torque at 6500 RPM, along with improved throttle response. The composite lid is manufactured using a special heat-resistant material and incorporates an O-ring, completely sealing the air box to insulate against heat-soaking and maximize pressurization.
