The system replaces the stock airbox lid with an injection-molded composite replacement that increases overall volume and accommodates a larger, high-flow filter element for optimum air-flow. The lid is manufactured from a special composite material chosen for its ability to resist power-robbing under-hood heat and incorporates an O-ring, which completely seals the air box for maximum pressurization. The system also includes a secondary intake duct that scoops up additional cool, oxygen-rich air via the factory brake cooling duct, further improving performance as road speed increases. This system delivers a maximum gain of +9HP and +8lb-ft of torque at 6500 RPM when coupled with Stage 2 Engine Software.
