The thin core of the factory heat exchanger is easily overwhelmed, causing the ECU to pull timing and reduce power after successive wide-open throttle (WOT) pulls.
The Dinan unit addresses this challenge with a more robust core: the 48mm thick Dinan core is substantially larger than the 27mm OEM core, providing 78% more cooling surface area and volume. The significant increase in thermal mass, assisted by unique "L" shaped end tanks, significantly reduces the tendency to heat soak. This allows the vehicle to deliver maximum performance time and time again, with up to a 15° IAT delta recorded over stock and an average of 8° reduction in IAT's over 15 successive WOT pulls.
