While the aesthetics, with its intricate carbon detailing, are impressive, the key to its superior functionality lies beneath the carbon fiber lid.
The system eliminates the restrictive nature of the stock filters, which only draw air from the front and rear. Dinan's custom filters eliminate this wasted area and allow air to be drawn in from all around, achieving a massive 228% increase in total filter area (292.4 inches compared to stock's 89 inches). To accommodate these massive filters, the Carbon Fiber lid was enlarged to increase the overall airbox volume by ~15%. This optimized design yields increased performance, delivering gains of +23 HP at 5500 RPM and +25 LB-FT of torque at 4000 RPM when coupled with engine tuning.
