Fabricated from brushed 100% T304 stainless steel and TIG welded, the upgraded system is a marked improvement from stock in both material and looks, achieved through a straightforward and painless bolt-on installation.
The system eliminates the factory central collector/resonator, favoring an enlarged, straight, unrestricted single pipe that feeds into a Helmholtz-equipped muffler. This design limits frequencies associated with drone, assists in altering the tone to deliver the signature low Dinan rumble, and provides a maximum gain of +6 HP and +5 lb-ft of torque. The factory valve functionality is retained, allowing you to go from refined when cruising to rowdy when in it, with ease.
The most glaring visual change is the replacement of the OEM tips in favor of a proper M-inspired quad tip configuration, furnished with cavity-covering 3.75-inch (95mm) polished or black ceramic coated tips that ensure the system can be appreciated even before it is heard.
