The factory snub mount is made of a soft rubber compound designed primarily for comfort, which allows for significant engine pitch and "rotation" under acceleration and braking. APR’s polyurethane snub mount replaces this soft unit with a much denser material, effectively "snubbing" the engine’s movement within the front carrier.
By limiting the engine's fore-and-aft movement, this mount provides a more immediate connection between the engine and the road. Drivers will notice a significant reduction in driveline shock during aggressive launches and a crisper, more mechanical feel during both upshifts and downshifts. This Black polyurethane version is designed to provide these performance benefits while keeping cabin vibration (NVH) to a minimum for a street-friendly experience.
