The factory airbox is significantly undersized for performance applications, creating a bottleneck that becomes more restrictive as boost levels increase. APR’s solution deletes the restrictive factory box in favor of a high-flow open system, featuring a stunning carbon fiber air-dam and a massive 7" cotton filter with a dedicated frontal inlet for maximum surface area.
To combat engine bay heat, the system utilizes a thick T304 stainless steel heat shield combined with an engineered "air buffer-gap" behind the carbon fiber shell. This design ensures that the supercharger is fed a high volume of cool air while allowing for a dramatic increase in supercharger induction sound. On the flow bench, this system outflows the factory unit by up to 268 CFM, resulting in dyno-proven gains of 17 AWHP on Stage 2+ vehicles.
