Unlike traditional "drop-in" tank pumps that often cause the factory controller to overheat or trigger protective shutdowns, APR’s solution uses an inline 255 LPH high-pressure pump managed by a dedicated auxiliary ECU.
The included APR Auxiliary ECU integrates directly with the factory CAN bus, receiving real-time data from the engine’s ECU to precisely control fuel delivery based on actual demand. This ensures the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) is always supplied with sufficient volume for high-horsepower applications without the noise, heat, or reliability issues common with less advanced secondary controllers. Additionally, the system features a unique "tank emptying mode", allowing enthusiasts to quickly drain the fuel tank when switching to higher octane race fuels.
