The APR Iridium Pro Spark Plugs (Z1003101) are a high-performance ignition solution specifically designed for tuned and high-output Audi, VW, and Porsche engines. As horsepower and boost levels increase, factory spark plugs often struggle with excessive heat, leading to pre-ignition or spark blowout. APR’s Iridium Pro series addresses this by using Iridium—one of the hardest materials on earth—featuring a melting point 152% higher than silver and 38% higher than platinum.

This specific plug features a 19mm thread reach and a projected insulator design, making it suitable for specific engine configurations that require the spark to be positioned further into the combustion chamber. With a Heat Range 9 (colder than stock), these plugs effectively dissipate heat through a copper core, ensuring stable ignition even under high cylinder pressures or when using high-ethanol fuels like E85.
