The factory "pancake" pipe is a restrictive 38mm plastic unit prone to melting and deforming under the high heat and pressure of tuned applications. APR replaces this bottleneck with a high-flow 60mm aluminum pipe and a reinforced silicone outlet hose, significantly reducing backpressure and ensuring consistent boost delivery.
To ensure a leak-proof seal under extreme conditions, the kit includes a multi-ply fluorosilicone-lined hose that is resistant to oil degradation. The "EZ-Flow" stepped lips on the piping provide a smooth internal transition to minimize turbulence, while heavy-duty Clampco T-bolt clamps provide far superior clamping force compared to factory spring clamps. Finished in a durable black powder coat with TIG-welded brackets, this system provides a professional look and "set-it-and-forget-it" reliability.

Important Compatibility Note:
Due to the larger diameter of the 60mm piping, this product does not fit with the stock intake system (with the exception of the VW Tiguan). A compatible aftermarket intake, such as the APR Open or Closed Carbon Fiber Intake, is required for proper clearance. This pipe fits the factory turbocharger and is compatible with both OEM and APR intercooler hoses.
