Why Suspension Travel Matters:

Lowered vehicles lose valuable suspension travel, which causes the suspension to reach the factory bump stop much sooner than intended. A bump stop is designed by the OEM as a final-stage buffer, essentially a rubber cushion that protects the shock and suspension components from bottoming out during extreme compression. In a stock-height vehicle, it is meant to engage only during hard impacts and serves as a safety and comfort device rather than a primary spring.
