The 3.0L twin-turbo engine in the Porsche 992.1 experiences rapid heat soak and rising intake air temperatures even during spirited street driving, causing the ECU to pull timing and reduce power. The CSF 8217 Intercooler System replaces the factory unit with Formula-1 performance grade cores by PWR to maintain consistent power delivery. These advanced cores utilize rolled tubes with inner fins to lower IATs more efficiently than traditional bar and plate designs. This system eliminates the failure-prone crimped plastic end tanks of the OEM unit in favor of 100% TIG-welded billet aluminum construction.

Fits

Fits Porsche 992.1 Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, and Carrera GTS models with the 3.0T engine. This system does not fit 992.2 Carrera models.

Installation

This intercooler system is a true drop-in fit application. It installs in the OEM location using factory mounting points, ducts, and shrouds. No modifications to the vehicle are required. CSF recommends following the manufacturer repair manual or using a qualified installation facility if you are not confident in performing the swap.
